HR Generalist | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Walker seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production and operational roles.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, resolve grievances, and conduct investigations for plant employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA regulations.
- Administer workers' compensation claims and actively support plant safety initiatives.
- Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and performance reviews for manufacturing staff.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs, including safety, compliance, and skill development for hourly personnel.
- Maintain accurate HR records and manage HRIS data for the manufacturing site.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
- Proven ability in full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles.
- Strong capabilities in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and experience with benefits administration and payroll processes.
Bonus Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they pertain to HR responsibilities
