Position Overview We are seeking a Tax Manager to bring technical depth, leadership, and strategic insight to a variety of tax compliance and consulting engagements. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to mentor staff, manage workflows, and deliver high‑value solutions that help clients minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate deep knowledge of specialized industry and regulatory requirements.

Manage and oversee preparation and review of complex S corporation, C corporation, partnership, multistate, and individual returns, including projections and estimated tax calculations.

Lead client meetings and communicate clearly and professionally.

Delegate work effectively based on team experience and coordinate with senior managers and partners throughout all engagement phases.

Review tax workpapers and ensure compliance with professional standards and engagement terms.

Conduct tax research to develop innovative client solutions.

Pursue ongoing training to maintain strong technical knowledge.

Support office efficiency by offering performance feedback, contributing to staff development, and engaging in team‑building activities.

Qualifications

Active CPA license.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s degree preferred.

5+ years of public accounting tax experience.

Prior management experience in a CPA firm environment.

Experience with individual, corporate, S‑corporation, partnership, and multistate returns.

Preferred

Strong understanding of federal income tax laws and principles.

Proficiency with CCH Axcess, CCH Fixed Assets, CaseWare, and SurePrep.

ASC 740 experience is a plus.

Exceptional communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.

Commitment to developing and mentoring staff.
