Description Director, Healthcare Services – IT
Join a team delivering transformational change to the healthcare industry. Work with clients in health systems, physician groups, ancillary providers, medical schools, vision, laboratory, dental, behavior health, managed care, government plans, industry investors, medical devices, suppliers, infrastructure, and life sciences.
The Team Healthcare Industry Group, a subsidiary of A&M, is a leader in delivering tangible results for healthcare executives, boards, private equity firms, investors, law firms, and government agencies. Our services include performance improvement, operational turnarounds, cost optimization, M&A, finance operations, and interim management.
How You Will Contribute
Identify and implement opportunities to significantly reduce cost structure by redesigning technology and operations org structures and eliminating non‑value‑added processes.
Optimize overall technology stack to drive top‑line and bottom‑line improvement, including clinical and corporate applications, data, infrastructure, and security.
Develop IT synergy models, one‑time cost profile, TSA, carve‑out considerations pre‑deal and execute post‑deal integrations.
Provide guidance through performance improvement plans and crisis management.
Develop operational data analysis, KPI metrics, and deliver client‑ready reports and presentations.
Lead work streams, manage engagements, coach junior staff, and build client relationships.
Qualifications
High energy, passion for healthcare, and ability to solve complex issues.
12+ years of experience in healthcare, consulting or healthcare industry with a healthcare IT focus.
Experience in acquisition, integration, and transformation from an IT deal perspective.
Experience in clinical application domains (EMR/EHR, practice management).
Experience in med‑tech manufacturing applications.
Experience in corporate functional domains (HRIS, ERP/Finance, cloud stack).
Advanced analytics, reporting and Excel modeling skills.
Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Tableau/Power BI, SQL preferred.
Solid project management and organizational skills.
Understanding of healthcare finance, operations, valuation, compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to all levels.
Willingness to travel as required.
BA/BS or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, MHA, MPH, or related field.
