Our client, a global leader in power distribution components and systems with strong European heritage, is experiencing significant expansion in North America and seeks a Vice President of Finance to serve as a strategic financial leader during this transformative growth phase. The VP will be a partner to the business leadership and the shareholders.

We are seeking an accomplished finance executive to lead all financial operations, as well as HR and IT, and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team. This role will be instrumental in building a robust financial infrastructure to support ambitious multi-year growth objectives, including anticipated fivefold volume expansion in the U.S. market. The successful candidate will provide critical financial and strategic guidance to enhance organizational stability, drive profitability, and support investor-readiness initiatives as the company prepares for continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all financial and accounting functions, including controlling, treasury, tax, FP&A, compliance, and reporting across North American operations

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, local tax regulations, and international reporting standards (IFRS)

Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal, and hedging strategies

Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, M&A activities, investment decisions, and site expansion initiatives

Develop and implement controlling instruments and KPIs to drive performance across manufacturing and sales operations

Collaborate with international headquarters to align financial strategy and ensure seamless global integration

Design and optimize financial processes, internal control systems, and ERP implementation initiatives

Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team while fostering a collaborative, performance-oriented culture

Work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to promote holistic, profitable business development

Serve as primary liaison with internal and external auditors

Professional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required; MBA or graduate degree strongly preferred

10+ years of progressive finance experience with significant time in senior leadership roles

Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and treasury management

Proven experience building or scaling finance functions in growing organizations

Strong proficiency with ERP systems and business intelligence tools

Exceptional intercultural competence with ability to bridge different business cultures effectively; experience with European subsidiaries strongly preferred

Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic vision and hands-on execution capabilities

Outstanding communication skills with ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders

Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and track record of delivering results in dynamic environments

Willingness to travel occasionally to international headquarters
