Territory Sales Manager (Southern Ohio / West Virginia / Northern Georgia Region)

Reports To:
VP of Sales
Salary Range:
$80,000 to $110,000
General Overview Our client is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive sales growth and provide technical application support for their full product portfolio within the region. This role focuses on direct sales, distributor collaboration, and channel partner management to expand market presence across heavy material‑handling industries.
Sales Priorities
Acquire new customers and promote conveyor components, chemical solutions, and large‑scale Total Dust Management projects.
Drive sales across industries such as coal, steel, cement, aggregate, pulp, sawmills, ports, and terminals.
Grow existing accounts by introducing new products and services from the Plant Products and Services Division, Total Dust Management portfolio, and Chemical Dust Suppression lines.
Promote professional services offered by the client's Plant Professionals team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Qualify opportunities and generate project proposals.
Build multi‑level account relationships to keep the client's solutions top‑of‑mind.
Position and sell the full range of products and services within the territory.
Identify opportunities in industries where the client is not yet dominant.
Conduct regular sales calls with existing and prospective customers.
Deliver technical application support and manage solution development for end users.
Grow business through consistent account management and relationship‑building.
Maintain an active sales funnel to drive predictable closures.
Submit accurate weekly activity and pipeline reports.
Use Salesforce CRM to track all sales activities from lead generation to follow‑up.
Review and understand customer plant schematics to support solution development.
Serve as a liaison between customers and internal support teams.
Meet or exceed established sales performance metrics.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Ability to travel within the territory up to 80%.
Ability to move throughout customer sites including walking, standing, and climbing ladders/stairs.
Comfortable in industrial environments and outdoors when required.
Tools & Equipment
Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent long‑term industry experience.
Minimum five years in technical sales within bulk material handling.
Strong communication, analytical, and technical sales skills.
Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
Solid general business acumen.
