Head of General Contracting - East Coast
We are representing a well‑established general contractor in Atlanta that is expanding its field leadership team due to strong growth and repeat business. They are seeking an experienced Superintendent who takes ownership of the jobsite, leads from the front, and delivers projects with precision.
About the Role
This Superintendent will oversee active commercial interior and renovation projects, including corporate workspaces, institutional facilities, and multi‑floor build‑outs. Occasional ground‑up structures or structural components may also be part of the pipeline.
Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day site execution, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and sequencing
Oversee jobsite safety, conduct toolbox talks, enforce company and OSHA standards
Drive quality assurance at each phase: demo, framing, MEP rough‑in, finishes, punch
Maintain schedule integrity, update milestone tracking, and troubleshoot delays
Review drawings, support RFI coordination, and align field conditions to design intent
Manage logistics planning, deliveries, phasing, and site access
Deliver clean closeouts—punch management, warranties documentation, inspections
Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of construction experience
Solid track record on commercial interior or renovation projects
Ground‑up or structural experience is a strong advantage
Proven ability to lead subcontractors and interface directly with owners/architects
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to run multiple phases simultaneously under tight deadlines
Proficiency with site reporting tools (Procore preferred)
Certifications valued OSHA 30
First Aid/CPR
ICRA experience (beneficial for healthcare / active facilities)
