SAP PP and MES Architect Job Description in Dallas About the Role This SAP PP and MES Architect position in Dallas is ideal for senior consultants who want to drive end to end production planning and manufacturing execution solutions. The role requires onsite work for three days each week and is open only to United States citizens. Key Responsibilities for SAP PP and MES Architect SAP PP and MES Expertise The role requires an expert level consultant with fifteen to twenty years of focused SAP experience. You will configure SAP PP, PEO, and QM modules and support advanced manufacturing processes such as product rework, rework from stock, and MRO flows. Experience in aerospace and defense or automotive manufacturing will help you understand the complexity of assembly environments.
Integration and Technical Guidance You will work hands on with PP and MM integration and PP and QM integration. You will support complex assembly manufacturing processes and guide ABAP developers by preparing functional specifications and validating solutions. You will also help break down business requirements into detailed development tasks for smooth execution.
S4HANA and Fiori Enablement Exposure to Fiori applications and S4HANA environments is preferred. You will help define user experience expectations and test S4 driven processes. You will support teams that handle data migration activities and review Fiori apps relevant to production planning and quality.
Business Process Design You will gather requirements, summarize needs into clear business processes, and align solution design with enterprise manufacturing strategies. You will help translate operational requirements into structured workflows that engineering and business teams can follow across planning phases.
Project Implementation Experience The role requires at least two or three SAP implementation experiences in PP and QM. You should understand how to design and deploy solutions in real production environments and manage dependencies across project teams.
Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities Knowledge of Parameter Unit effectivity and aircraft build processes is a strong advantage. Experience with serialization, batch management, BOM structures, routing, and routing plan usage is essential. Deep understanding of material master data, production structures, and WBS elements in project stock scenarios is important.
Manufacturing Systems and Migration Skills Experience with SAP CAMS or other complex assembly manufacturing systems is preferred. You should be able to support migrations from non SAP or SAP systems using LTMC or LSMW or the SAP Migration Cockpit. Familiarity with SAP BODS, SAP Data Services Designer, and S4HANA database structures is a strong advantage.
Testing and Validation You will investigate and resolve data migration issues related to master data such as BOM and routing. You will run multiple test cycles to validate routing, orders, serialization, and MBOM decisions across all systems.
