Manager, IT Systems Engineering

to lead our core IT Systems teams, specifically overseeing the Application Systems Engineering and Client Platform Engineering functions. This role is essential for driving efficiency, security, and innovation across our end-user computing and enterprise application landscapes. The ideal will be a strong technical leader capable of managing multiple, complex initiatives, developing talent, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver a secure, stable, and highly productive technology environment.

What You’ll Do:

Manage and mentor our Application Systems Engineering and Client Platform Engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and technical excellence. Lead the design, implementation, and administration of critical enterprise SaaS applications (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, Entra ID), as well as endpoint management platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, UEM, Virtual Desktops). Prioritize and manage workloads, ensuring the teams deliver key initiatives and projects within demanding timelines. Strategy & Architecture : Oversee the architecture, deployment, securing, managing, and maintaining of end-user computing environments and platforms. Provide strategic guidance on the evolution and optimization of our IT systems and infrastructure, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. Continuously evaluate the environment for strategic gaps, driving initiatives to enhance system maturity and security posture. Operations & Support : Act as the highest-level escalation point for the most challenging system issues and outages. Ensure the implementation and enhancement of endpoint deployment, configuration management, patching, and compliance processes. Proactively identify and automate complex manual processes across both application and client platforms. Oversee the development and maintenance of comprehensive, high-quality IT documentation, playbooks, and system integration plans. Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and other teams to develop best practices, tools, and procedures for a secure, stable, and user-friendly environment. Partner with stakeholders across business units to understand technology requirements and provide technical solutions. What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience (7+ years) in a technical role such as IT Systems Engineer, IT Infrastructure Engineer, or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience effectively managing and guiding technical teams. Expert-level knowledge and practical application of advanced IAM concepts (SSO, SAML, SCIM, OIDC, RBAC, ABAC) and experience in implementing solutions like Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. Deep technical understanding and experience in managing UEM and MDM tools (e.g., Jamf, Microsoft Intune, NinjaOne, SCCM/MECM). Strong proficiency in automation scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Shell scripts) and experience with iPaaS platforms (e.g., Okta Workflows, Workato) for complex integrations. Experience handling large-scale device and application deployments, endpoint lifecycle management, and virtual desktop environments (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix). Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and complex problem-solving skills, coupled with a deep understanding of IT operations, incident management, and change management best practices. Demonstrated ability to drive measurable results and lead technical teams in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment. Highly organized, attentive to detail, proactive, and capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines. Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection technology. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is a huge plus. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator/Consultant, Jamf Certified Admin/Expert, Okta Certified Workflows). Flexibility for odd hours and on-call duties is required to support critical operations and global infrastructure.
