As an RBT at Easterseals Hawaii (ESH), you will provide trusted support, education, and empowerment for clients and families, helping children diagnosed with Autism (ASD) and other developmental disabilities progress toward treatment goals and maximize learning potential.
Essential Job Functions
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, implements in‑home or community‑based interventions for children on the autism spectrum, via in‑person or teletherapy sessions.
Travels to home and other community settings, as required, to deliver services.
Meets established minimum productivity requirements while providing efficient and effective service.
Completes required documentation promptly, including behavioral data collection and graphing, treatment notes, and current ABA treatment plans for each client.
Stays current with new research, trends, and developments in ABA and related fields.
Attends staff meetings, trainings, and other sessions as requested.
Completes additional duties as assigned by Supervisors or Management.
Qualifications Minimum Education, Experience & Training
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Recent experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or related developmental disabilities in a direct‑care capacity preferred.
RBT Certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of evidence‑based methodologies beneficial for children with ASD, including ABA, ESDM, TEACCH, PECS, and PRT.
Prior experience providing education, coaching, and support to families with children with ASD or related developmental disabilities is a plus.
American Sign Language or bi‑lingual ability.
Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding the work environment.
Appropriately interpret and implement ESH policies, procedures, and regulations; training will be provided.
Consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision‑making skills.
Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and Excel.
Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements
Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting while observing, assessing, and interacting with clients.
Stand or sit for extended periods (up to 6‑8 hours) as needed.
Frequent speaking and listening (50% of time) with clients, staff, and other professionals during meetings and on the phone.
Frequent driving to and from the office and client homes.
Frequent sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and work at the computer.
Occasional lifting and carrying of toys and materials up to 30 lbs during home visits.
Physically implement behavior management strategies, including responding to physically aggressive behavior.
Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff, and others continuously.
Utilize computer, cell phone, and iPad.
Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
Must be able to communicate effectively within the workplace, reading and writing in the primary language used.
Conditions of Employment
Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record clearance via DOJ/FBI live scan reports per applicable laws and fitness for the position.
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
Proof of current vehicle registration and safety check.
Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations, and clear TB testing based on company policies.
Ability to obtain and maintain a CPR certificate.
Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
Obtain RBT Certification within 90 days of hire and maintain active certification status.
Obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Compensation:
$18‑21 hourly (upon certification)
