Job Summary Impact Health is seeking an experienced Cardiac and Body CT Technologist to join our medical team. This role performs advanced CT imaging with a strong focus on early detection of cardiovascular disease and other chronic conditions. The CT Technologist ensures high-quality image acquisition, patient comfort and safety, and effective collaboration with our medical staff.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain CT equipment to ensure optimal performance
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout the exam
Acquire high-quality CT images and review for clarity and diagnostic accuracy
Apply radiation safety protocols and dose-reduction best practices
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support accurate diagnostic evaluations
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques
Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to all clinical and safety standards
Contribute to a high-quality patient experience in a preventive medicine environment
Requirements
Graduate of an allied health education program or accredited radiography school/hospital-based program
NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required
ARRT registered (RT) and radiograph (R) and/or (CT) certified and/or NMTCB registered (CNMT)
Documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection
Must pass advanced CT examination/certification within 1 year from date of hire
Continuously meet continuing education requirements set forth by governing bodies
DOH IV certification preferred or completion of a 6-month orientation
BLS and ACLS certification required
Demonstrates excellent clinical judgment and ability to apply new concepts and skills in invasive cardiology.
Shows responsibility for professional development.
Prefer prior experience with GE Resolution Apex CT technology.
