TITLE:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) TYPE OF POSITION:
Full-time (1.0); Long-Term Substitute (anticipated 03/01/2026 - 06/01/2026); salary range: $150.00-$288.85/day LOCATION:
ElmwoodSchool, Hopkinton, Massachusetts AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
All qualified candidates This is the position of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) . The individual will be working as a behaviorist in our schools, with children, parents, and staff. They will develop behavior intervention plans for students with developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder and provide staff development on the implementation of particular protocols, data collection and progress monitoring techniques. The Behavior Analyst reports to the principal and the Director of Student Services.
DUTIES:
Consult with team members about behavior plans, curriculum modifications, accommodations and social skills and provide staff with resources, tools, and in-class modeling of techniques;
Oversee and provide consultation to school staff regarding programming and IEP implementation, and attend IEP meetings as determined by Student Services Administrators;
Assist in the development and oversee behavior plans for in-classroom implementation and assess progress of effectiveness of behavior plans and curriculum modifications;
Conduct behavior assessments and devise appropriate behavior plans/FBA/BX plans;
Coordinate communications between home and school with regard to home-based goals and issues and provide consultation and recommendations to parents regarding behavior and social issues. Supervise, develop, and monitor home-based goals and objectives with home-based staff and parents;
Ensure timely completion of home-based plans and progress reports.
Assist coordination of transitions from Early Intervention Programs and community agencies to school programs, and from school to community agencies prior to age 22;
Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed, or eligible for licensure as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst;
Master’s degree in Special Education, Psychology or related field;
A minimum three (3) years’ training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, and experience providing training to staff and parents;
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with children and adults;
Commitment to remain current in field knowledge, evaluation and counseling strategies;
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements.
