Unit Supervisor - PACU - 48X Complex (PAT SUPP SVC SUPV 1)

Job Summary
The primary role will be supervision of all 48X Preop-PACU/Extended Recovery Unit HUSC III and Patient Navigators to provide efficient clerical support and oversight, ensuring excellent customer service to patients and families. This supervisor coordinates patient care services to promote efficient patient flow through OR Pre‑Op PACU units, serving as a working resource in the 48X OR Pre‑Op PACU and Extended Recovery Unit.

Qualifications
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
Supervisory experience.
Minimum three (3) years of experience working as a hospital unit clerk and/or medical office coordinator.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
Customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
Proficiency in all skills, knowledge and abilities of the HUSC III and Patient Navigator job descriptions for the OR Pre‑Op PACU.
Knowledge of OR Pre‑Op PACU computer data collection processes.
Ability to utilize relevant medical terminology.
Effective communication and excellent customer service to the target audience.
Ability to interact and maintain communications with multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate data processes, make decisions and provide recommendations.
Strong problem‑solving skills and independent initiative.
Decision‑making abilities and knowledge of delegation limits.
Ability to work independently under high demands and pressure with minimal direction.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle or cope during stressful situations; knowledge of QA monitors.
Computer proficiency; knowledge and experience with EPIC EMR System.
Physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds; adequate vision, hearing, speech.

Pre‑Op/PACU at 48X focuses on preparing patients for surgery and aiding in recovery, delivering excellent patient care.

Salary: $33.33 - $59.48 hourly.
