Senior Mechanical Engineer – Plant Layout Engineering
Location: Cranberry Township, PA (hybrid) or Rock Hill, SC.
We are hiring for two open roles.
About the Role As a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Plant Layout Engineering, you will support teams in design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of large-scale nuclear and non-nuclear projects. Your efforts will reduce physical layout conflicts between commodities coordinating teams for plant design and parameters through physical arrangement assessments.
Responsibilities
Support design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of large-scale projects
Technical coordination between business and technical teams
Reduce physical layout conflicts between commodities
Conduct physical arrangement assessments of nuclear island structures, equipment, piping, commodities, and supports using multi-dimensional (3D) design software
Author, review and verify engineering designs and conduct in-depth reviews of 3D models and plant designs with WNEXUS
Prepare technical reports to satisfy regulatory, code, and contract requirements
Interface with engineers in different departments and global work locations to support design, fabrication, and construction organizations, responding to requests for information (RFIs), identifying design changes, and addressing deviations
Qualifications
4+ years’ experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with 3D modeling software for physical equipment arrangements and site layout plot plans
Visual and spatial design skills
