We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Medical Affairs to lead medical strategy, evidence generation, and scientific engagement across a growing portfolio of innovative therapies. This executive will serve as a key member of the leadership team, shaping medical vision, driving cross‑functional alignment, and ensuring scientific excellence across all programs.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in clinical development, medical strategy, and external engagement within complex therapeutic landscapes. Backgrounds spanning specialties such as neurology, CNS, oncology, immunology, rare disease, or related areas are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Define and execute the global medical affairs strategy across pre‑launch, launch, and post‑marketing stages.

Partner closely with R&D, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Safety teams to ensure integrated strategic planning.

Evidence Generation & Data Strategy:

Lead development of medical evidence plans, including real‑world evidence, HEOR initiatives, investigator‑initiated studies, registries, and Phase IV programs.

Oversee scientific publications, medical communications, and data dissemination.

External Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, academic institutions, consortia, and patient advocacy groups.

Represent the company at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and key medical forums.

Medical Excellence & Governance:

Ensure compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory standards (including promotional and non‑promotional review processes).

Build and mentor a high‑performing Medical Affairs team, fostering a culture of scientific rigor, transparency, and collaboration.

Cross‑Functional Partnership:

Support product strategy, lifecycle management, and evidence needs across multiple therapeutic areas.

Collaborate with Commercial teams to ensure medically sound product positioning, field medical strategy, and insights generation.

Qualifications

MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent advanced scientific degree required.

12+ years of progressive experience in Medical Affairs within the biopharma industry, with demonstrated executive leadership.

Proven experience shaping medical strategy and leading complex launches or cross‑portfolio initiatives.

Strong understanding of scientific, regulatory, and commercial dynamics across multiple therapeutic areas.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Ability to work on‑site in New Jersey.
