Position Summary We have an opening for a
Director of Sales (DOS), New Business . This individual will lead a sales team to achieve the budgeted sales quota for the year and directly supervise 5+ Account Development Executives. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, achieving financial goals, developing and motivating staff, fostering a collaborative environment, providing market insights, and driving sales strategy per quarter. The DOS will also handle customer issues and satisfaction and support client retention.
Qualifications
4 year college degree or equivalent experience
Experience in the automotive industry
6‑8 years of leading quota‑exceeding outside B2B sales hunters; selling complex systems (e.g., DMS, SaaS)
Demonstrated track record of success in a solutions selling environment
7‑9 months of job‑related formal sales training
1‑3 years of outside B2B sales/new business development
Job Requirements
Excellent planning, project management, analytical and facilitation skills
Proven ability to lead and collaborate within a multi‑functional team, delivering measurable results
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including making effective presentations to senior audiences
Ability to make meaningful recommendations to senior management regarding strategic direction of the sales organization
Superior analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tech applications
Strong work ethic in a competitive, high‑performance environment
Self‑starter who can work independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of automotive technology and digital solutions preferred
Approx. 75% travel required
Consistently achieve 100% or more of quota each year
Salary (Average) $155,000 + Uncapped Bonus/Commissions. Compensation packages include performance bonus, benefits, and other incentive plans.
