Med Surg Nurse - Day/Nights- Faulkner
Brigham and Women's Hospital, Faulkner Hospital, is an affiliate of Mass General Brigham committed to supporting patient care, research, teaching, and service to the community. This 36–hour per week role covers day/night rotations with every other weekend and holiday.
Job Summary BWFH 6 North is a 36 private bed general medicine/telemetry, progressive care unit. Services are provided to adults and older adults with complex medical and psychosocial conditions, including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia and other acute/chronic diagnoses. The unit includes eight beds for Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) and has telemetry and patient/staff safety equipment. Care is provided by direct‑care nurses in collaboration with medical providers, including NP/PA, under the nursing leadership team.
Qualifications
BSN required.
Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required. Med./surg./telemetry experience strongly preferred.
Adherence to all I CARE standards.
Demonstrated analytic thinking to care for a group of patients.
Observational skills and ability to set priorities.
Ability to function under stress with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Effective skills in applying hospital standards in service area, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
