Senior Software Engineer
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) invites you to build and operate massive-scale, integrated cloud services operating in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. Our mission is to give customers best‑in‑class tools and services to build and manage Oracle cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design broad system interactions, dive deep into any part of the stack, and maintain a strong focus on developer experience.
Build, ship, and operate new and existing products with a balance of speed and quality.
Apply distributed systems engineering principles to achieve reliability, scalability, and performance at cloud‑scale.
Provide technical leadership, work independently, and promote a proactive culture of operational excellence.
Recommend and justify major changes to existing products using data‑driven approaches.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in high‑level programming languages such as Java, Python, etc.
Experience delivering end‑to‑end products through the full product life cycle.
Experience with microservice design patterns, service‑to‑service communication protocols, and building highly reliable services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing with Eclipse or IntelliJ.
Hands‑on experience developing cloud services and tools on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
Master’s degree in Computer Science.
Compensation and Benefits US: Hiring range $79,200 – $178,100 per annum. Eligible for bonus and equity.
