Executive Director – Lilac Grove Salary Range: $75,000–$85,000

Job Details Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Located on the campus of the Jewish Home.

General Scope Lilac Grove is a 90‑unit independent living apartment complex for people ages 62 and older. The Executive Director manages all aspects of operations, supervises staff, ensures efficient facility management, achieves budgeted occupancy levels, delivers outstanding resident satisfaction, and positions Lilac Grove as a leading provider of middle‑income rental housing for older adults. The Executive Director is also accountable for the facility’s financial performance and P&L management.

Education / Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, hospitality management or business management is required. Experience in aging services or senior housing operations is preferred. Proven ability to build referral relationships, lead teams, promote accountability, and achieve high customer satisfaction is necessary.

Essential Functions Leadership Responsibilities

Guide the community in planning, strategizing and delivering programs and services that improve quality of life for residents.

Network with other organizations for activities and access to services.

Connect with families and residents to provide targeted programs and services (health, social, case management) that are needed.

Focus on resident customer satisfaction while building strong teams engaged in creation of this level of service.

Communicate & clarify boundaries and expectations for diverse stakeholder groups (residents, families, staff, volunteers, colleagues/departments) and for the community.

Regularly assess workforce engagement using employee surveys, feedback sessions, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted development and retention initiatives.

Attend to professional growth of self and others.

Management Responsibilities

Establish goals, organize plans, and set priorities to drive ongoing improvements in operations and relationships with residents and staff.

Conduct outreach and sales initiatives in partnership with the Marketing team to ensure occupancy levels align with budgetary goals.

Prepare plans that can adapt to the diverse and changing needs of residents and staff.

Create systems to ensure program compliance with municipal, county and/or state regulations.

Maintain facilities standards assuring safety and comfort.

Be responsible for all aspects of revenue and expenses to budget.

Develop and implement policies and procedures for smooth operations.

Conduct regular meetings/communications with staff, resident councils, residents and families; listen and communicate in a timely manner.

All other job duties as assigned.

Experience 1–3 years’ related work experience in a senior housing environment managing occupancy and operations. Strong track record of developing and sustaining relationships that lead to successful outcomes. Demonstrated ability to work through others to promote accountability and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
