You will serve as a Security Specialist within NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Duties

You will perform a variety of security duties dealing with industrial, personnel, and information security. You will perform personnel security duties to include verification of security clearances for contractor personnel and the certification of need to know for access to classified information. You will perform information security duties to include assisting the head of classification management with the control and maintenance of classified material records as required. You will perform industrial security duties to include clearance actions, contractor liaison, and classified contract review, preparation, and coordination. Requirements

Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license. You will be required to travel away from your duty location. Must have the ability to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight. This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
