Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer creates complex Enterprise-class data assets that provide business insight and aid business decision-making. Assets will include (but are not limited to) reports, visualizations, dashboards, and data extracts. Produces complex reports and performs meaningful quantitative or qualitative analysis addressing impactful business issues or questions. Combines these reports with subject matter expertise to deliver coherent, insightful takeaways comprehensive read-outs, and advice/recommendations grounded in what our data is telling us.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science) (Required) Minimum Work Experience 6 years of work experience.

Requires deep functional knowledge with 4 – 6 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge Experience with Business Intelligence; Data Analysis; Microsoft Azure; SAS (software); SQL (Programming Language); Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS); PowerBI, Tableau, or other business intelligence software. Experience with Data Modeling; Python (programming Language); Quality Assurance; SQL (Programing Language). Experience with Analytical Techniques; Business Analysis; Quantitative Analysis; Rist Analysis; Root Cause Analysis; Statistical Process Controls. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio; User Flows; Workflows Optional: Experience in the healthcare field Experience with healthcare data policies Microsoft certifications in Azure Experience with Microsoft Fabric

Functional Accountabilities Core areas of responsibility that fall under this role include:

Develops complex BI solutions architecture that accurately translates business requirements to technology solutions and ensures the design will meet business requirements throughout the lifecycle of a change

Participates in and implements day-to-day activities related to defining architecture, establishing infrastructure, and implementing standards used to create frameworks/patterns for delivering business intelligence solutions

Conducts complex business analysis activities to enable technology solutions that adequately fulfill strategic business needs and objectives.

Delivers complex and extensive projects setups, analysis, data flows, designs (wireframe/mock-up), etc., for and in partnership with customers.

Helps leads the execution of long-term strategic goals for business intelligence development in conjunction with end user, management, customers, and other stakeholders.

Conducts extensive research and makes expert recommendations on business intelligence products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

Performs and oversees complexity and difficulty of programming, quality assurance reviews, documentation, system deployment, training, and project setup/support.

Provides timely and appropriate communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users on issue status and resolution

Develops, maintains, and implements the business intelligence architecture as a core asset

Collaborates with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management, process efficiency with respect to data and delivery.

Collaborates with both Enterprise Architecture and Solutions Architecture on the solutions/service design to ensure it conforms to enterprise architectural standards for future roadmaps.

Performs other duties as assigned.
