Job Description Brookdale Greenwood Village is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON – RN) to support the Director of Clinical Services and help lead our care team with excellence, compassion, and purpose.

Responsibilities
Assists the Director, Clinical Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing day‑to‑day operations of the Clinical Services department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
Maintains systems, established policies, and procedures.
Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of each resident using long‑term care assessment software.
Coordinates care plans and oversees day‑to‑day care to ensure compliance.
Works with staff to establish appropriate level of care per Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement levels.
Ensures comprehensive and accurate documentation by nursing service/direct personnel.
Monitors, manages, and provides education on clinical systems, programs, and processes.
Monitors community quality indicators and survey reports; recommends success planning.
Plans, implements, evaluates, and directs facility’s infection prevention and control program.
Applies scientific principles and methods for surveillance and reporting.
Conducts educational programs based on trends and outcomes.
Prepares reports and presentations for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee, including antibiotic stewardship activities.
Investigates and reports outbreaks; implements prevention interventions.
Assists in implementing policy, procedures, and compliance with OSHA regulations and infection control standards.
Develops and implements Clinical Services organizational structure; determines staffing needs.
Reviews complaints, grievances, and reports alleged abuse or misuse.
Coordinates ancillary services.
Collects, coordinates, and submits MDS data to the state.
Monitors medication and treatment schedules; works with physicians; provides direct care when required.
Maintains policies and procedures governing day‑to‑day operations.
Ensures staff compliance with regulations.
Develops safety standards for equipment, supplies, and resident care rooms.
Monitors supply, equipment needs, and budget; tracks Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education and Experience
Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 2‑4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Long‑term care experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
Valid and current state RN license issued by the appropriate state licensing agency.
Management / Decision Making
Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within the department.
Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems.
Knowledge and Skills
Extensive knowledge of distinct skills or functions and thorough understanding of the organization and work environment.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Standing, walking, sitting, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, cough, talk, hear.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Requires interaction with co‑workers, residents, or vendors.
Vision required.
