The ACNE provides operational oversight of inpatient nursing services for the UC Davis Health departments by assisting the Chief Nursing and Patient Care Services Executive (CNE) in planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and evaluating hospital wide nursing/patient care services, including nursing practice standards and policies, staffing, strategic planning, organizational and staff development, maintaining necessary regulatory and compliance approvals and quality accreditations; provides highly responsible administrative support to the CNE; acts on behalf of the CNE in his/her absence.
