Job Description General responsibilities for all store team members include operating equipment, stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory and completing associated paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility daily.

Training & Communication Skills Orientation and on‑the‑job training are provided. Strong written, verbal, and telephone communication skills are required to give correct written instructions, interact with customers and co‑workers, and process orders.

Essential Functions & Skills

Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly.

Give correct monetary change.

Take and process orders verbally, in writing, and over the telephone.

Use motor coordination for rapid, accurate movements.

Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.

Read maps and locate addresses within a designated delivery area.

Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.

Exposure

Varying and occasionally adverse weather conditions during outside tasks.

In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in cooler areas to 90°F+ in some work areas.

Sudden temperature changes in the work area and outdoors.

Fumes from food odors.

Exposure to cornmeal dust.

Cramped quarters, including walk‑in coolers.

Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F.

Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Adverse weather when delivering product, driving, and door‑hanging.

Sensing

Talking and hearing on the telephone.

Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.

Depth perception.

Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Far vision and night vision for driving.

Physical Requirements

Standing:

Most tasks are performed from a standing position on tile or linoleum; work surfaces range 36‑48”.

Walking:

Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store and vehicle.

Sitting:

Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.

Lifting:

Bulk deliveries up to 50 lbs; hand‑truck usage to unload ingredients.

Carrying:

Items up to 3 lbs, 7 oz typically from workstation to shelves; occasional heavier loads (e.g., 30‑lb pizza sauce).

Pushing/Pulling:

Trays on dolly require up to 7.5 lbs of force; trays may also be pulled.

Climbing:

Infrequent stair or ladder navigation to change signs or perform maintenance.

Bending/Crouching/Squatting:

Forward bending near the pizza assembly station; occasionally at front counter or while stocking ingredients.

Reaching:

Continuous reaching up, down, and forward; sometimes above 72” for oven controls or price signs.

Additional Information

Driving:

Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; may make multiple deliveries per shift.

Hand Tasks:

Continuous use of hands and fore‑arms; manipulation of pizza peel, rolling cutter, and box assembly.

Equipment, Tools & Work Aids:

Use of pens, pencils, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutters, and peels.

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle; must follow all company policies and procedures.
