Job Duties

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Provide training and orientation for new team members.

Communication Skills

Comprehend and give correct written instructions.

Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions / Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Sudden temperature changes can occur. Fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including a walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensing and Physical Demands

Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum.

Walking: Generally short distances.

Sitting: Paperwork usually completed at a desk or table.

Lifting: Bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds. Cases may be stacked up to 72 in.

Carrying: Cans up to 3 lb 7 oz, pizza sauce up to 30 lb, trays of dough about 12 lb each.

Pushing: Trays on dollies approximately 24‑30 in; force up to 7.5 lb required.

Climbing: Infrequent stairs or ladders.

Stoop/Bend: Forward bending at pizza assembly station; repetitive bending at front counter.

Crouch/ Squat: Occasionally for stocking shelves.

Reach and Hand Tasks

Reaching continuously up, down, and forward; occasionally up to 72 in.

Hand use throughout the day; manual dexterity required for dough shaping, using pizza peel, cutter, and handling packaging.

Equipment and Tools

Pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and rolling cutter.

Delivery / Driver Duties (optional for this role)

Deliver product by car to customer locations.

Distribute flyers and door hangers.

Require valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.

Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.

Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings and private homes.

Essential Skills – Delivery

Map reading and navigation within designated area.

Carry pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing stairs.

Drive within the designated delivery area, making several deliveries per shift.

Work Conditions – Delivery Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather during deliveries. Far vision and night vision for driving.
