Heavy Bending Associate

Our manufacturing facility in West Jefferson, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Heavy Bending Associate. This role is crucial to our production process, involving the precise operation of machinery to shape heavy gauge materials. Responsibilities: Operate and set up heavy bending machines (e.g., press brakes, roll benders) to form materials according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine bending requirements and sequences. Measure and inspect finished products for accuracy, ensuring adherence to quality standards and tolerances. Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production efficiency and resolve any issues. Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading as needed. Document production activities, including completed work, machine settings, and any deviations. Qualifications: Proven experience operating heavy bending machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex machinery. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, protractors). Understanding of various material properties and their impact on bending processes. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety regulations. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to XX lbs. frequently). Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in machine operation are a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
