Monday–Friday | $22.00–$28.00 per hour
Morning Shift: Assistant Program Director
Schedule:
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (20 hours/week) Location:
Fr. Virgil Cordano Center THE ORGANIZATION The Fr. Virgil Cordano Center is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars at Old Mission Santa Barbara and the Daughters of Charity at St. Vincent that is rooted in the Gospel and the Social Teachings of the Catholic Church. Faithful to the traditions of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Vincent de Paul, we provide a place of welcome and support for the human and spiritual well-being of our brothers and sisters in need. PURPOSE The Assistant Program Director assists the Program Director in the administrative functions and operations of the Fr. Virgil Cordano Center (FVCC) through the development and implementation of program components to meet the goals established by the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include assisting with policies and procedures, client referrals, case management, HMIS data, ECM procedures, and collaboration with outside agencies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with administrative tasks, clerical support, reports, and documentation
Conduct FVCC intake process and member
Collaborate with HMIS and ECM Case Managers
Monitor the center for safety and enforce membership policies
Distribute hygiene items and mail
Support general cleanliness, kitchen, phone calls, laundry, and supply tracking
Promote FVCC values of welcome, respect, community, and joy
QUALIFICATIONS Commitment to the Mission and values of the Fr. Virgil Cordano Center
Degree in Social Work or equivalent experience
Strong desire to work with underserved and homeless individuals
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Strong communication, problem-solving, and basic computer skills
Ability to de-escalate conflict and maintain professional boundaries
Afternoon Shift: ECM Case Manager Schedule:
1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (20 hours/week) Location:

St. Vincent’s is the longest continuously operating human service agency in Santa Barbara, established in 1858. PURPOSE The Enhanced Care Management (ECM) Case Manager is an interdisciplinary, hands-on position which – in accordance with the goals, objectives, and the Mission of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul – provides case management for CenCal Health clients’ Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports (CS) services within the system of care of St. Vincent’s Fr. Virgil Cordano Center (FVCC) and other programs as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate a passion and commitment for the Mission and Vincentian Core Values of St. Vincent’s
Provide ECM case management and coordination of services
Work collaboratively with care providers and local social services
Promote respectful, compassionate service to those served
Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in related field with emphasis on human development
Minimum two years of related experience
Experience with case management, data entry, and analysis
Knowledge of mental health, housing, primary care, and other Continuum of Care services in Santa Barbara County
Strong interpersonal communication and professional boundaries
Ability to work with individuals and families in crisis
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid California Driver License and reliable transportation
Willingness to complete required trainings including Mandated Reporter, CPR/First Aid, DEIA, Trauma-Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing
Strong writing, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and follow through on responsibilities
General Requirements Must pass a criminal background fingerprint check
Must provide a pre-employment negative TB test
COVID-19 vaccination may be required depending on the position
Regular schedule: Monday – Friday
Hourly Compensation: $22.00 – $28.00
