As the Executive Assistant to the CEO of this nonprofit, you’ll be a pivotal partner to an inspiring leader, fast-moving CEO, Chief of Staff, and extended leadership. You’ll manage a wide variety of responsibilities, from high-level calendar management to cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a strategic right hand to the CEO, managing a fluid calendar, coordinating travel, and ensuring smooth transitions between high-impact meetings and events. Craft and edit executive-level communications with clarity and professionalism; manage busy communication requests and outbound correspondence with precision. Prepare briefing materials and agendas for key meetings, ensuring the CEO is well-informed and aligned. Be a liaison between the CEO and incoming requests, communicating directly in a professional manner with ultra business etiquette; be an active participant in important initiatives to troubleshoot requests. Track action items, follow-ups, and key deliverables across internal and external stakeholders. Support planning and execution of executive events; anticipate needs and keep things running seamlessly. Collaborate with a tight-knit administrative team and broader staff to ensure aligned schedules, shared resources, and consistent support across the organization. You have worked for CEO-level Executives for at least seven years or more. Nonprofit or start-up experience. You have worked in either a nonprofit or start-up industries in the past and you are used to changing gears quickly when needed. Hybrid. You prefer to work mostly in a mostly remote environment, but can meet weekly in person for meetings with other DC area colleagues. Master of prioritization. You excel at prioritizing and managing your time strategically, adapting to shifting demands with ease.
