A dynamic, experienced, student‑centered coach is needed to lead our high school football program at High School West. We seek a candidate passionate about developing young athletes, building a positive team culture, and using athletics as a platform for character development.
Qualifications
Proven coaching experience in football.
Strong technical knowledge of football and commitment to ongoing learning.
Ability to lead a full program and model positive character for student‑athletes and coaching staff.
Reports To Athletic Director
Supervises High school assistant coaches and supports middle school coaches.
Key Responsibilities Program Leadership
Create and sustain a strong, inclusive team culture grounded in respect, discipline, sportsmanship, and shared purpose.
Oversee all aspects of the football program, including practices, game preparation, and player development.
Collaborate closely with the athletic department and coaching staff to ensure alignment across varsity, JV, middle school, and youth feeder programs.
Support student‑athlete well‑being, including promoting academic achievement, leadership, and positive decision‑making on and off the field.
Ensure compliance with district, league, and state policies.
Manage equipment, budget needs, and program logistics.
Staff & Student Development
Develop a comprehensive football philosophy and system that supports growth, skill development, and competitive success at all levels of the program.
Promote academic success, strong character, and positive conduct.
Provide a safe environment through clear expectations and injury protocols.
Community Engagement
Build relationships with families, youth programs, alumni, and community partners.
Promote the program within the school and community to strengthen support and participation.
Maintain positive communication with parents, boosters, and media.
Stipend $9,501
