Director Hospital Facilities Base pay range: $118,040.00/yr - $155,970.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

This role leads a high‑impact facilities and plant operations portfolio that keeps patients, staff, and visitors safe every day. It is ideal for a mission‑driven leader who enjoys building strong teams, modernizing systems, and elevating performance in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Guide Plant Operations leadership, Biomed leads, facilities supervisors, and skilled technicians, overseeing performance management and professional development.

Co‑ordinate with Environmental Services, Nursing Leadership, Infection Prevention, Safety and Emergency Management, Supply Chain, IT, Security, and Capital Planning/Construction to deliver seamless operations.

Oversee a multi‑site environment that includes a hospital campus, long‑term care center, and ambulatory practices, ensuring optimal performance of central plant, utilities, building automation, and grounds.

Drive regulatory excellence and safety by maintaining compliance with CMS, OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, and Life Safety Codes while advancing emergency preparedness and risk mitigation.

Champion education, mentoring, and competencies for the facilities workforce and Biomed partners, and elevate quality through KPI dashboards, root‑cause analysis, and reliability‑centered maintenance.

Manage budgeting, capital planning, vendor relations, contracts, and cost‑control strategies.

Qualifications

At least five years of facilities leadership experience.

Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous materials, and safety management.

Healthcare facilities experience, CHFM certification, and technical or trade education with state licensure preferred.
