Job Summary

Eligible applicants will be referred each month as vacancies occur on an as‑needed basis until positions are filled.

Salary Range: Low Grade 00 – High Grade 00 (updated to match the new 2025 pay scales).
Key Responsibilities
Provide routine dental screenings, cleanings, X‑rays, and fillings.
Perform restorative procedures, including fillings, crowns, root canals, and surgical extractions.
Conduct comprehensive surgical care, including extractions and oral cancer screening.
Offer periodontal care, including root canal treatments, gum procedures, and bone care.
Provide prosthodontic care (bridges, dentures, dental implants) and advanced prosthodontic care.
Perform oral and facial reconstruction surgery to repair trauma or serious illness.
Adhere to rotating call schedules, weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Participate in the annual seasonal influenza vaccination program.
Qualifications & Requirements
Open to U.S. citizens; non‑citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens are not available.
Must pass a required urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use before appointment.
Selectively registered with the Selective Service (males born after 12/31/1959).
Proficient in written and spoken English.
May be required to serve a probationary period.
Subject to background and security investigation.
Required to complete a pre‑employment physical examination.
Must participate in the seasonal influenza vaccination program.
Eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP); must meet eligibility requirements and submit the application within four months of appointment.
