Working Hours & Rota The full‑time position follows a consistent daytime schedule: Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., closed Sunday. Approximately 85 % of the role is devoted to clinical responsibilities, with the remaining 15 % dedicated to leadership and team development.
Role Description & Responsibilities The Medical Director will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to companion animals while serving as a mentor and clinical leader for the veterinary team. Leadership duties include guiding standards of care, coaching associate veterinarians through case collaboration, and coordinating doctor scheduling to support hospital needs and team wellbeing. The role involves collaboration with operational leadership to support medical quality, workflow efficiency and a positive client experience. Ideal candidates are clinically confident, approachable leaders passionate about creating a supportive, high‑performing team environment.
Practice Details The hospital focuses on small animal medicine for dogs and cats in a modern general practice environment. Emphasis is placed on patient‑centered care, clear communication and the freedom for veterinarians to practice medicine according to professional judgment rather than rigid corporate protocols. The practice promotes collaboration, consistency, and high medical standards while adapting to community needs.
Team You will join a close‑knit team of two veterinarians supported by trained technicians and client care staff who value communication, teamwork and mutual respect. Candidate Requirements
Must hold a relevant veterinary degree and qualify to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA).
Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain a state license for the state they are applying to work in.
Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so.
