We are seeking an exceptional Technical Architect to lead our D365 F&O (Finance & Operations) capability. This individual will be the go‑to leader for D365 F&O, providing deep functional and technical expertise, setting standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that the system meets evolving business needs.
The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills, technical and functional mastery, and excellent business collaboration ability. They will drive solution delivery across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations functions, ensuring alignment between business goals and system capabilities.
Location – Elmhurst – hybrid 3–4 days onsite per week
About the Role Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach and develop the D365 F&O team: D365 F&O Developer, Business Systems Analysts and Integration Analyst.
Foster a high‑performance culture; promote best practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
Set clear goals and expectations for the team and track progress.
Functional & Technical Ownership
Be the D365 F&O subject matter expert across Finance, Supply Chain and Operations.
Define and enforce D365 F&O best practices, standards and governance processes.
Continuously evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
Business Partnership & Requirements Gathering
Serve as the primary liaison between IT and senior business stakeholders in Finance, Supply Chain and Operations.
Understand and translate business needs into scalable D365 F&O solutions.
Facilitate workshops and discussions with cross‑functional teams to gather, validate and prioritize requirements.
Solution Delivery & Project Management
Lead solution architecture, design reviews, and delivery of new D365 F&O functionality and enhancements in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
Manage full lifecycle of initiatives: requirements gathering, solution design, development oversight, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment.
Drive consensus on solution approach across business and IT stakeholders.
Develop and maintain documentation related to the design and implementation.
Collaborate effectively with Managed Services partners and System Integrators.
Ensure timely resolution of critical issues and escalations.
Manage vendor relationships to drive quality, performance and accountability.
Governance & Quality Assurance
Oversee testing strategies including SIT and UAT; ensure high quality and business acceptance.
Maintain robust documentation of system architecture, configurations and processes.
Monitor system health, proactively address risks and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Experience & Skills We Value
10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years of deep D365 F&O functional and technical leadership experience.
Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional IT teams and vendors/partners.
Strong understanding of core D365 F&O modules: Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing and Operations.
Strong understanding of D365 F&O technical architecture, integrations and customization practices.
Demonstrated experience driving D365 F&O initiatives end‑to‑end.
Excellent relationship‑building, communication and influencing skills with senior business stakeholders.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing environment and balance multiple priorities.
Nice to Have and/or You’ll Learn
Microsoft D365 F&O certifications.
Experience in global or multi‑site D365 F&O implementations.
Experience in managing complex environments with significant customizations and integrations.
Knowledge of DevOps – Azure Repos, Pipelines, source control, branching, etc.
Knowledge of Logic Apps, Microsoft Flow, Power Apps and Power BI.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Integration APIs – Business Events, DMF API, Recurring API, custom services and OData.
Experience with data migration using D365 F&O Data Management Framework (DMF).
B.S. or B.A. in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering.
Previous experience in managing offshore teams and vendors.

Compensation
Base Pay range: $107,000 – $153,000 annually.
Target Annual Bonus: 20% of base salary.
