CNC Programmer Machinist
position at
Interstate Machine Works
Program and operate CNC lathes and vertical mills using G‑Code and HAAS programming systems. Using part drawings determine part profiles, machining paths, set feeds and speeds, select tooling and fixtures, and make adjustments as required. Metal parts produced may be steel plate, rod, tube, steel castings, brass, and aluminum.
CNC Machinist/Programmer may also perform hands‑on production machining, machinist training, and other tasks as required.
Responsibilities Operate CNC equipment and program parts using G‑Code; determine machining paths from drawings; set feeds, speeds, tooling; adjust for optimum efficiency; provide training and support to teammates.
Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience using G‑Code with CNC lathes and mills.
