Primary Responsibilities
Provide instruction in lecture and/or lab courses in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
Be available to students outside of class.
Maintain professional conduct and etiquette.
Update current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
Teach all scheduled classes.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and attendance.
Create an environment that encourages teaching, learning, and open discussion.
Minimum Qualifications
Any bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the assignment; OR
Any associate degree from a regionally accredited institution and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the assignment; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.
Desired Qualifications
Foreign degrees that have been evaluated by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute (ACEI).
Applicable licenses, certificates, or credentials.
Prior Requirements for Employment
Submission of official transcripts.
Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renewed every 4 years).
Live Scan fingerprints for clearance.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Employees may be transferred to any school site at the Chancellor’s discretion.
