Job Purpose As a Territory Development Manager (Lead Gen Specialist Baltimore) you will support UFS’s growth by engaging operators, chains and trade partners across your territory, delivering business targets and a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Demand Creation: Operators and Local Chain Accounts
Engage with local chain accounts and operator customers, achieving business targets for turnover, reach, penetration, digital engagement, demos and sampling.
Execute Customer Business Plans, manage the win‑&‑retain funnel, and implement multi‑touchpoint contact strategies online and face‑to‑face.
Translate business insights into solution selling, showcasing Unilever’s leadership in food trends.
Provide tailored recommendations based on customer menus, kitchen operations and consumer insights.
Demand Creation: Distributors/Trade Partners
Develop and execute Joint Business Plans with selected trade partners, including trade terms, sell‑out activities, DSRs and KPI measurement.
Coordinate secondary sales data partnerships with proof‑of‑value additions.
Collaborate with the Food Solutions Trade & e‑comm teams to implement promotions, manage stock availability and drive sell‑out.
Ensure timely submission and settlement of distributor trade claims.
Digital & Data
Engage with 100% of automated warm leads and targeted leads via CRM.
Convert leads within the territory and achieve penetration strike‑rate targets based on automated account and SKU prioritization.
Drive digital buying behavior through e‑commerce platforms (e.g., webshop, trade partner webshop).
Promote social media engagement and attendance at UFS webinars.
Continuously enrich operator data for personalized content.
Implement an omnichannel (online and offline) contact strategy.
Required Qualifications
4‑year college degree or 2+ years of culinary education.
Minimum 2 years of foodservice sales experience.
Proven track record in developing strategic relationships with decision makers among operators and distributors.
Proficiency with Blacksmith/Forge, Salesforce.com and Power BI.
Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional culinary industry experience.
Passion for driving results and a strong interest in the food industry.
Pay, Bonus & LTI Pay range: $69,360 – $104,040. Position is bonus eligible and LTI eligible.
