Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide hands‑on financial leadership and partner closely with Plant Operations and Corporate Finance.
Oversee and monitor operational budgets, standard cost rates, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
Lead timely and accurate month‑end close, including plant‑level financial statements, variance analysis, and operational reporting.
Manage all manufacturing cost accounting activities, including standard costing, BOM and routing accuracy, overhead allocation, labor/production reporting, and cost roll‑ups.
Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory valuation, scrap reporting, and analysis of usage variances.
Maintain strong internal controls over materials, WIP, finished goods, and production transactions.
Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and systems that support accurate internal and external reporting.
Ensure adequate controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts; report key variances and operational drivers.
Recommend financial benchmarks/KPIs to measure plant performance and drive operational accountability.
Provide financial analysis to support capital investments, pricing decisions, cost‑savings initiatives, and customer/program negotiations.
Manage external audit support and ensure timely delivery of all required documentation.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Lead, coach, and develop finance team members; communicate clear goals and expectations.
Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures.
Oversee cash management, working capital, and liquidity needs.
Manage general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, credit/collections, and job cost estimating functions.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field).
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general financial systems.
Strong computer proficiency required.
