Our Client, an EV Manufacturing company, is looking for a CAE Optimization Engineer (Mid-Level) for their Newark, CA location.
Responsibilities
Set up and execute structural optimizations (design space, constraints, objectives, etc.)
Interpret results and propose manufacturable solutions
Perform subsystem and full-vehicle level optimization (stiffness, stress, mass)
Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies
Use tools like OptiStruct, NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance across attributes
Provide design guidance during concept phases
Script in Python or TCL (a plus)
Requirements
Bachelor’s (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Minimum 4 years of experience, with 1–2 years in optimization
Strong FEA fundamentals and CAE optimization knowledge
Familiar with OptiStruct/NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
Enthusiastic, quick learner, problem solver, and team collaborator
Performance assessed via task-based evaluations
