LPN - General Medicine/Geriatric Medicine
Join Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital as an LPN in the General Medicine/Geriatric Medicine Unit. The unit supports adults and geriatric patients receiving medical, neurological and telemetry attention. As an LPN, you will assist nurses and healthcare staff in ensuring patients have the best possible experience throughout treatment.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other holiday and weekend requirements.
Responsibilities
Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
Perform routine laboratory tests.
Educate patients and family members.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program.
Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of patient care experience.
Physical Requirements
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination.
Involves extensive standing and walking.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $23.25 Maximum hourly: $33.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
