**Location:**Medical Center - Fort Worth**Department:**Hospitalist Group**Shift:**Third Shift (United States of America)**Standard Weekly Hours:**36**Summary:**The Cook Children’s Hospitalist Team is comprised of approximately 38 physicians and 12 advanced practice providers (APPs), including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive inpatient care for pediatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses.## Position SummaryThe Hospitalist APP will admit and manage pediatric patients performing thorough histories and physicals, formulating treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic tests, and addressing questions or concerns from patients, families, and bedside staff. Many APPs work two or three 12-hour shifts per week, providing time for family, community involvement, and personal interests outside of work.* Collaborative Culture: You’ll join a multidisciplinary team that values communication, compassion, and excellence in patient care.**Education and Experience**Advanced Practice Registered NursesMaster’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification required. Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred.ORPhysician AssistantsMaster’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized areas strongly preferred.**Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification**Advanced Practice Registered NursesCurrent Texas professional registered nurse licenseCurrent Texas professional advanced practice registered nurse licenseCertified as a Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (CPR) requiredCurrent Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) requiredORPhysician AssistantsCurrent Texas professional physician assistant license
