We are recruiting for an Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison - Neuroscience to support the Florida region. This field‑based position prefers candidates based in a major metropolitan market with easy access to a national airport. It is available in all cities within Florida; candidates from any location may apply.
Johnson & Johnson has entered into an agreement to acquire Intra‑Cellular Therapies, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on therapeutics for central nervous system disorders. This acquisition strengthens our ambition of becoming the #1 neuroscience company worldwide.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of Regional KOL engagement strategy, marketing education strategy, and faculty development, including oversight of peer‑to‑peer marketing plans and compliance training for faculty.
Serve as a key member of the CAPLYTA Brand team, providing local market insights and feedback to shape future strategies for the Neuroscience franchise in collaboration with sales leaders, business partners, and medical teams.
Build trusting relationships with academic and community KOLs and other key partners to advance brand priorities.
Maintain awareness of regional trends and coordinate marketing education and engagement plans with cross‑functional partners to ensure alignment with brand strategic imperatives.
Partner with analytics to understand regional variations in treatment patterns and advise on peer‑to‑peer and insight program placement.
Attend conferences and serve as onsite host for product theatres.
Facilitate, participate in, and attend advisory boards as appropriate.
Coordinate executive engagements with KOLs and commercial leadership.
Supervise the regional marketing budget and provide continuous business‑planning feedback.
Assist in crafting future educational platforms, including national and regional recommendations to tailor education to local needs and create innovative solutions for KOL engagement at medical congresses.
Lead overall neuroscience strategy, including mapping, framework development, and innovative engagement planning for current brands and future launches, with marketing operations for KOL strategy and planning, agency management, and champion materials through CAC, Totality, and MRC.
Requirements
BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing, key account management, medical, sales leadership, sales training, or field sales engaging with KOLs/Influential HCPs and professional healthcare organizations.
Deep understanding of cross‑functional collaboration with key internal and external partners, with a strong ability to innovate, collaborate, and deliver results.
Demonstrated understanding of key industry trends and ability to develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition and improve patient outcomes.
Ability to build and manage lasting customer relationships with a focus on patient impact and outstanding customer centricity.
Travel up to 65% (internal meetings, advisory boards, medical meetings, congresses, and selective program attendance).
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in neuroscience.
Previous cross‑functional industry experience in pharma or biotech engaging with KOLs and professional healthcare associations.
Deep medical/scientific knowledge of the psychiatry marketplace.
Experience leading through change, product launches, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Completes all company and job‑related training within required timelines.
Ability to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
