Accounting Manager
Our client, a forward-thinking leader dedicated to environmental solutions, is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to join their dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing comprehensive financial reporting, driving accounting processes under US GAAP and IFRS, and leading efforts that support the company's mission
Compensation
$50.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including approving journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and generating financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, equity statements, and cash flow reports.
Direct and mentor a team of staff and senior accountants, managing hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing finance team.
Collaborate on the development of annual budgets and monitor budget-to-actuals across all projects through consistent analysis and reporting.
Spearhead ERP system enhancement projects by working closely with external consultants and internal stakeholders to optimize financial processes and improve efficiency.
Design and establish new operational procedures for emerging business segments, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and guidelines.
Liaise with the Asset Management department to oversee invoicing, deposits, collections, and KPI reporting—supporting strategic decision-making.
Coordinate with auditors by facilitating the collection of audit evidence, explaining accounting treatments, and providing comprehensive supporting documentation throughout the audit process.
Generate specialized reports and analyses for management to facilitate data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Requirements
3 to 4 years of public accounting experience or 5 to 6 years in private accounting roles preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, with the ability to conduct thorough research to resolve complex accounting issues.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-departmental teams, senior management, and external partners.
Proficiency with accounting software, particularly NetSuite; experience with ERP systems is highly desired.
Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy.
Critical thinker with proactive problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and overall computer literacy.
