Accounting Manager
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to join their dynamic Asset Management team. As part of a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, you will lead critical financial reporting, oversee team activities, and implement process enhancements, all while working towards a greener future. Compensation: $40.00-50.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Facilitate the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings for corporate and project entities, including journal entry approval, account reconciliation, and preparation of key financial statements.
Oversee the performance and development of staff and senior accountants, managing recruitment, onboarding, cross‑training, daily oversight, and performance evaluations.
Contribute to the creation of annual budgets and monitor budget versus actual variances across all projects on a regular basis.
Coordinate ERP upgrade projects by collaborating with external consultants and internal departments to optimize financial processes and improve scalability.
Design and establish procedures for new business activities, ensuring alignment with relevant accounting standards and best practices.
Partner with the Asset Management team to supervise invoice processing, deposits, collections, and key performance indicators reporting.
Collaborate with external auditors by preparing documentation, addressing queries, and supporting the financial statement and footnote preparation process.
Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support management decision‑making.
Requirements:
3‑4 years of experience in public accounting or 5‑6 years of private sector accounting preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) with research skills to resolve complex accounting issues.
Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with accounting teams, executives, and cross‑departmental staff.
Hands‑on experience with accounting software; proficiency in NetSuite highly desirable.
Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Critical thinking, proactive problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and computer literacy.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
