Payroll Specialist - Healthcare Setting

Kingston, NY Compensation:
$31/hour Work modality:
100% in-office Position Summary Process and manage payroll operations while ensuring accurate, timely employee compensation and regulatory compliance. Coordinate payroll documentation and prepare comprehensive payroll reports for organizational review. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for all employees using specialized payroll software Enter and review time and attendance records, wage calculations, and deduction entries Conduct payroll reconciliations and prepare specialized payroll reports Monitor payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in employee compensation Assist with federal, state, and regulatory payroll tax filing ensuring compliance Process new hire setup, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions Research and resolve payroll system issues, including tax withholdings and garnishments Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements Stay current on governmental regulations affecting payroll processing, including wage and hour laws Prepare monthly payroll summaries and assist with annual W-2 preparation Qualifications Education:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years payroll processing experience. Healthcare industry experience would be a plus, but not required!
