About the Role
As an
Accounts Payable Specialist , you'll play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity by ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. You'll collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper documentation. Perform
3-way match
(purchase orders, receiving documents, invoices). Process bi-weekly check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card transactions. Ensure accurate coding to general ledger accounts and cost centers. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues. Maintain vendor records, W-9 forms, and banking details in compliance with fraud-prevention practices. Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation. Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency and automation.
What We're Looking For
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in general accounting or AP. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Excellent communication skills and ability to build vendor relationships. Commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork. Location:
