BILINGUAL NUTRITIONIST

Irving, TX | Onsite COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE • Pay: $25/hour • Schedule: Mon–Thu 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (30-min lunch); Fri 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (1-hour lunch); one Sat/month (once trained) 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (30-min lunch) • Employment Type: W2 ROLE IMPACT The Nutritionist supports the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) by conducting professional nutritional assessments, counseling participants, and creating individualized plans to improve health outcomes. This role directly influences family wellness through education, assessment, and guidance on healthy dietary practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct nutritional and clinical assessments including weight, height, and lab evaluations to determine WIC eligibility and nutritional status. • Develop individualized care and food packages to support improved health and dietary outcomes. • Provide counseling, education, and support through classes, group sessions, and individual consultations. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review participant health risks and develop care plans. • Support program operations and ensure timely, efficient client service in the WIC clinic. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field. • 2+ years of experience as a Dietitian or in a nutritional care setting, bilingual required • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to counsel diverse populations. • Ability to interpret nutritional data, growth charts, and lab results. CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS • WIC program systems • Nutritional analysis and electronic health record (EHR) software • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Growth charting and dietary recall tools PREFERRED SKILLS • Experience in maternal and child health or public nutrition programs. • Bilingual in English and Spanish. • Knowledge of community health resources and referral processes.
