Accounts Receivable Analyst Our client is seeking a detail-driven and analytical

Accounts Receivable Analyst

to support their finance team. The AR Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the billing and collections process, performing in-depth analysis of receivables, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of customer accounts. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills, excellent follow-through, and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Invoicing Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in accordance with contracts and billing schedules.

Ensure accuracy of billing data, terms, and coding.

Process credit memos, adjustments, and account updates as needed.

Receivables Analysis Monitor aging reports and analyze trends in outstanding receivables.

Identify high-risk accounts and escalate management concerns.

Perform root cause analysis on recurring billing or payment issues.

Track collection metrics and recommend process improvements.

Collections & Customer Account Management Follow up on past-due invoices and resolve discrepancies with customers.

Partner with sales and operations teams to resolve billing issues quickly.

Maintain updated customer files, payment histories, and communication logs.

Cash Application & Reconciliation Review and reconcile customer accounts regularly.

Ensure accurate application of payments, credits, and adjustments.

Research and resolve unapplied cash or short payments.

Reporting & Month-End Support Prepare AR dashboards, aging summaries, and weekly/monthly management reports.

Assist with the month-end close by reconciling AR subledgers and supporting journal entries.

Provide documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Qualifications

3-5 years of Accounts Receivable, AR analysis, or related accounting experience.

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).

Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).

Ability to collaborate across finance, sales, and operations teams.
