KHS&S is seeking an experienced
Payroll Manager
to oversee all company payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This role manages payroll staff, leads payroll operations, and supports company goals through reliable reporting and adherence to union, federal, and state regulations.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Train, supervise, and support Payroll Department staff.
Process weekly payroll for employees, including deductions, garnishments, HSA uploads, and status changes.
Maintain payroll procedures, tax rates, employee profiles, and system configurations.
Reconcile payroll with accounting records and prepare required reports.
Prepare quarterly and annual federal and state tax filings (940, 941, W-2s, 1095-Cs, etc.).
Manage monthly state and local payroll tax reporting.
Support audits, EEO-1 reporting, California pay data reporting, and certified payroll when needed.
Manage onboarding and user profiles in Arcoro.
Administer Procore and E-Verify systems.
Support ERP and timecard system setup.
Manage reimbursement processes through reimbursement system.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of payroll experience, including union payroll. Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws.
Skills:
Strong mathematical and accounting aptitude. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
