Event Manager – Embassy Suites Washington DC Convention Center

The Embassy Suites Washington D.C. Convention Center is looking for an Event Manager to collaborate with clients to plan events, ensuring a successful and memorable experience. Skilled communication, multitasking and flexibility are essential.
Pay Range:
$28.00 to $33.50 per hour, participation in Hilton Sales Incentive plan.
Shift Pattern:
Office hours 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with required flexibility for weekends and holidays.

What you’ll be doing:
Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
Communicate timely with internal and external clients via phone, email, written documents or in person
Create and maintain client relationships to set and meet expectations
Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes
Resolve conflicts, negotiate, settle disputes and resolve grievances
Sell and influence for both internal and external clients
Analyze and evaluate issues to determine best solutionEnsure high‑quality service by providing direction, feedback and coaching
Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process as needed
Other duties as necessary
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 1 year hospitality experience at manager level
Knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
Relevant degree in business development or related field (e.g., CMP, CPCE)
Hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership and urgency
Key attributes: quality, productivity, dependability, customer focus, adaptability
