We acquire profitable, market-leading companies in buyout transactions typically valued between $3–$75 million. Backed by our principal capital, family offices, institutions, and HNWIs, our platform empowers experienced deal professionals to lead and close transactions with committed capital, in-house support, and proprietary sourcing tools.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a partner-level

Principal or Managing Director

(Prin/MD) to lead leveraged buyouts and serve as deal sponsor from origination through exit. This role includes:

Leading 1–3 acquisitions per year

Managing all deal phases: sourcing, diligence, structuring, closing, and exit

Serving on portfolio company boards and driving value creation

Building your own track record with upside via carried interest and co‑invest

You’ll act as an entrepreneurial partner, leveraging SCC's resources and infrastructure while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

Source and evaluate acquisition targets using SCC's proprietary sourcing platform

Lead negotiation and deal structuring (including LOIs, debt, equity, and seller rollovers)

Present investments to SCC's IC and external capital partners

Lead post‑close value creation and serve on portfolio company boards

Support CEO recruitment and key management hires

Manage exits including sales, recaps, and other liquidity events

Maintain and grow relationships with intermediaries, lenders, and other referral sources

Qualifications

7+ years total experience, with a minimum of 3+ in lower middle market PE, search funds, or independent sponsor work

Demonstrated ability to originate, lead, and close buyout transactions

Strong financial modeling and accounting skills (3‑statement models, LBOs, returns analysis)

Strategic thinker with BOD‑level leadership experience and operational insight

Excellent communication and deal negotiation skills

Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and drive transactions

BA/BS required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus

Willingness to travel up to 15%

Compensation

Success‑based, with significant upside through equity participation. Compensation includes:

Share of carry/equity on each closed transaction

Closing fees and monthly management fees from acquired companies

Bonus incentives tied to performance

Option to co‑invest alongside SCC in other deals
