Job Description We are searching for the best talent for Account Executive I – ASI located in Santa Cruz, CA. This role will sell advanced surgical instruments and solutions to surgeons and hospital decision‑makers, primarily in operating room settings.

Our Surgery team delivers surgical technologies to healthcare professionals worldwide, focusing on conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
Account Executive – Advanced Surgical Instruments Responsibilities
Own the full range of Ethicon offerings, including hemostasis, energy sealing, surgical stapling, and wound closure platforms, with a focus on energy and endomechanical devices.
Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in operating room settings.
Manage a sales territory focused on assigned physicians and hospital institutions.
Achieve forecast for assigned accounts and territory.
Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on sales opportunities within accounts.
Additional Responsibilities
Train and demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in the operating room environment.
Manage customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology.
Execute the selling cycle in a concise, professional, ethical, and compliant manner that drives results.
Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods learned in training courses.
Analyze market data and stay updated to support business planning.
Build excellent customer relationships with key physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors, and conduct education seminars as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
1+ years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, demonstrating exceptional achievement of sales objectives.
A valid U.S. driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
High sales performance and ability to target accounts through daily action plans.
Strong time‑management and planning skills.
Hospital‑based pharmaceutical or medical device experience (operating room sales).
Experience in developing new, innovative markets.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Team‑oriented mindset.
